Traditional White Kitchen with Glaze

I had a chance to catch up with some clients and photograph the kitchen we did for them over last winter. Although the condo was not terribly old, the owners wanted their new kitchen to give the space a grander feel and increase storage. New off-white cabinets were extended to the 9' ceilings. The cabinets were glazed to add a visual interest and tie into he color of the Ann Sacks backsplash and Wilsonart Quartz countertops. Brushed Brass hardware plays well with the metallic flecks in the Wilsonart Quartz countertops. I love how the countertops have almost a translucent quality that adds interest and depth. Fluted corners, and arched bottom rails on the island give the piece a furniture feel. The island was custom designed to house a sharp microwave drawer, garbage pull out, shelving, and 5 drawers! A warming drawer was cleverly fit beneath a Fisher Paykel Dish Drawer left of the sink. A smaller built in refrigerator allowed us to incorporate a pull out pantry for dry goods. We carefully selected locations for open shelving, wine storage, and glass doors to keep the space feeling open and allow the owner's beautiful hand blown glass collection to be displayed. LED lighting was incorporated both in cabinet and under cabinet to ensure the space had plenty of accent light. This was a really fun project!!
